TVRCC Season Opener Weekend for 2025.
Date :- Sunday April the 6th 2025
Location :- Wollaton Hall, Nottingham NG8 2AE
Price: £13 per car (advance price) / £15 on the day (subject to space on the lawns)
Our 2025 season and our 60th Anniversary year kicks off with a stunning Season Opener at Wollaton Hall, Nottinghamshire.
Wollaton Hall is an imposing Elizabethan country house of the 1580s which has been the home of industrialists, Barons and most recently, Batman (Wayne Manor in "The Dark Knight Rises"). The Hall has been described as "the architectural sensation of its age” rather like TVRs, so an interesting location for the TVRCC's Season Opener. The house is now Nottingham Natural History Museum, with Nottingham Industrial Museum in the outbuildings. The surrounding parkland has a herd of deer and offers walks around the lake and ornamental gardens. The parkland is dog friendly but they must be on a lead because of the deer.
TVRs are invited to display on the sloped lawns of Wollaton Hall. On arrival, we will direct everyone to a space on the lawns. For a limited number of cars, there will also be an opportunity to take part in the TVR Timeline photograph, where cars will be invited up to the top turning circle. Please let us know if you would like to be considered for the Timeline by ticking the appropriate box. Once we have finalized a list of cars for the Timeline, we will be in touch to let you know and advise of timings for the line up.
We are still finalizing an itinerary for the day, but will release timings in due course.
Breakfast Baps will be available to pre-order, due to the number of people expected, Wollaton Hall have asked us to place a pre-order for these. Please make your selections on booking and we will issue tokens on the day. There are also several cafe's on site, all of which offer a range of hot and cold refreshments and menu's for hot food service (including takeaway options). These include:
You are of course welcome to bring your own food and picnic in the grounds.
To fully immerse yourself in the history of Wollaton Hall, why not book yourself onto a Private Tour. Hear the tales and discover the characters of the Hall. Explore the Prospect Room, the Tudor Kitchens, the Cave and Admiral’s Bath. We will pre-book this for you and advise of your time slot in advance of the day.
Public Parking - a public car park is available on site at a cost of £6. Pay on the day in the Shop, Cafe or Hall or use the RingGo mobile app.
There will also be a drive out on Saturday the 5th of April so get your Batmobiles at the ready - more details on this to follow.
We hope you can join us at the start of the TVR Car Club's Diamond Anniversary year.
